Our Favorite Space!

You saw the before in an earlier post, so now comes the after.  Our enclosed porch has been one of our favorite spaces in this house since it was built in 1995.  It has been primarily functional, but now with the decision to stay in this house indefinitely we got the decorating bug.  The chairs were the big splurge, but well worth it.  They are outdoor wicker, meaning they won't mildew in the Atlanta summer humidity and they are drop dead comfy.  We could spend hours in them, playing games, having a meal, reading, knitting, just putting our heads back, closing our eyes and listening to the multitude of birds and the wind in the trees.  It smacks of rain forest to be sure.  The new outdoor rug will allow us to use the porch a bit longer in the Fall and into the Winter, along with the wall heater.  This is pure luxury.  We'll skip first class, skip the luxury hotel at some far off place, skip the crowded beaches and theme parks.  Instead, we'll walk out onto the porch, turn off all electrical noise makers and imitate Thoreau.  Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
