Fair Isle is Fair Game Now!

I LOVE knitting!  I mean I really, really LOVE knitting!!  It is relaxing, challenging, educational, useful and just about a perfect adventure in many ways.  The thing is that there is so much to learn.  Some of it looks very scary and very difficult and some of it is!  But, I recently decided to take on Fair Isle.  I don't really love the heavy duty Norwegian versions of it, but the intricate patterns are seductive.  I haven't mastered it, but am doing a reasonably good job of it.  I have a fabulous teacher at my favorite yarn store ever, Cast On Cottage in Roswell, GA.  Betty says that I've got it!  She told me it is addictive and I believe her now.  Thanks, Betty!  My first two projects under her direction:  Simple fingerless mitts and a fabulous winter hat.  Yummy!
